Treat your artistic soul with an amazing week of hands on oil painting classes with instructor Jessica McClendon, from Dallas, Texas.
INSTRUCTOR: Jessica McClendon is a professional art instructor and expert in the field, having over 16 years in the industry as a professional, and putting her BFA and MFA to good use with constant new works of art, mediums and commissions.

LOCATION: She offers a global destination workshop in Progreso Beach, Yucatan Mexico, a peaceful beach paradise located only 30 minutes from the historic city of Merida. There are numerous beautiful destinations to see while visiting the Yucatan Peninsula such as the famous Mayan Ruins, Fresh water Cenotes, colonial architecture, museums, local arts, and its year round tropical warm weather and beaches.
VENUE: Workshop will be held at The Mayan Gypsy boutique hotel, steps from the ocean, located directly across from the boardwalk of Progreso Beach, where students can walk to restaurants and shops.

AIRPORT: The closest airport is Merida (MID). Cancun international airport is another option and transportation is available from Cancun to the workshop for an additional cost. (3/12 to 4 hour shuttle)

Whats included:
*Airport transfers, to and from Merida airport and hotel
*Hotel accommodations for 7 nights, 6 days
*Breakfast, lunch, water, juices, snacks while in Hotel
*Art classes with Jessica McClendon:
*Gesture and anatomy on paper
*Rapid poses
*Figurative studies with nude models in oil painting
*Landscape painting (in Oil)
*All art supplies, paint, canvases, brushes provided
*Students will take home their work (rolled canvas)
*1 Mayan Ruin or Cenote trip, entry fees & transportation
*Transportation to colonial city of Merida and Cathedral
*Toiletries, towels, basic essentials
*Certificate of art class completion
*1 Happy hour & dinner celebration night at hotel

*1 – Arrival day, settle in to The Mayan Gypsy hotel and venue.
*2 – Painting classes begin with Jessica McClendon. Gesture and anatomy on paper. Rapid poses
*3 – Painting class: Figurative studies with nude model. Evening trip to Merida
*4 – Painting class Landscapes
*5 – Painting class: Landscapes or free paint with guidance.
*6 – A visit to one of the beautiful and famous Mayan Ruins (Chichén Itzá or Uxmal)
*7 – Departure day
